The Intent
A Norwegian animator who spent several years in Africa envisioned telling the story of Adam and Eve playfully for children, as he noticed that local kids were unfamiliar with animated feature films. While televisions were accessible, OTT platforms remained rare across the continent, and although mobile phones were widely used, low bandwidth presented challenges for delivering high-quality content. To address this, he decided to create a website to share the story. Our team was tasked with developing a site featuring easy navigation for content consumption and a dedicated support page for fundraising awareness. The website was designed to support multiple languages, starting with African English and Swahili, with plans to eventually include Norwegian and other languages for a broader global audience. We were also tasked with cleaning up their logo.
The Idea
Our approach focused on delivering a highly lean site for quick access and easy consumption. We built a mobile-first, responsive website that works seamlessly across platforms and ensured ease of navigation and a simple UI. To retain the authenticity of the film, we borrowed Tanzanian-themed colors and elements from the animation series itself. Fonts were chosen to visually complement the rough, handcrafted style of the animation. We were also tasked to clean up and adapt the existing logo into Swahili and Norwegian.
For the support page, we produced a video featuring the creator, which highlighted the cause and encouraged people to contribute. Additionally, we planned to display a live tracker showing the total funds raised. This strategy proved to be highly effective, resulting in significant support from potential donors.
The Impact
The website delivered an experience that was quick to access, which resonated well with the children and their parents in Africa. It also encouraged several local influencers to come out and support the cause of the Legacy of Adam. The use of vibrant, African color themes and blocky typography perfectly matched the unique animation style. The platform successfully created awareness for support, attracting subscriptions and donations that met the project's funding objectives, proving the effectiveness of the lean, responsive design.

User Persona

The core strategy for the streaming platform was total integration - aligning the new Brand Identity with the UX/UI for optimal content discovery. This required creating a comprehensive library of supporting visuals to ensure the entire site maintained a professional, cohesive, and an engaging presentation.

When engaging MGC for our streaming platform, our expectations centered on creativity, technical precision, and timely delivery. MGC clearly surpassed these standards, delivering all required website creatives ahead of schedule and providing exceptional added value. Their outstanding organization, remarkable attention to detail, and commitment to emerging design trends and best practices ensured a seamless client experience. We highly recommend MGC and look forward to future collaborations.
